Born in Lisburn in 1965. Jonathan was educated at Methodist College and Queen's University, Belfast . Here he received formal training in architecture and design.

Warhol, and the Pop Art movement influence Jonathan's work. His unique pieces have an original style, which are characterised by both skill and concept. He creates narratives with reference to popular culture, visually interpreting some of our most identifiable icons. Whether depicting a seemingly mundane object, or the glamour of celebrity, the fusion of striking colour with intriguing texture is symbolic of Jonathan's work.

Jonathan Aiken's work has been selected for various exhibitions throughout Ireland . These include the Bass Contemporary Arts Touring Exhibition 2002, the Boyle Arts Festival 2002 and the Royal Ulster Academy 2003.
